“As good as prepacked scrambed can get” If you are not going to pack and cook real eggs, this is the next best thing. Better than the scrambled with Bacon. -Buck, New Jersey “Yummy (love the peppers)” Considering this comes in a bag and you just add boiling water, it's amazing. Add the water slowly though so you don't get a runny mess. Add maybe half or so and let that sit and then add a little more if you need it. The scambled eggs are a little spongy, they might remind you of the egg stuff used at McDonalds but its was pretty good. The bacon was fine too. “Mountain House does it again” Prepared to the package directions, the texture of the vegetables remains slightly chewy, but an additional 5 minutes resting time makes you wonder if it really came out of a pouch. The consistency and taste of the sauce are spot on. “Nothing a little hot sauce can't fix” Mostly potatoes, and cut small, so this stew does have a slight starchy taste almost like it has instant mashed potatoes in it. “Sweet” It gets five stars considering that its trailfood. I used a lot less water (50-60%) (and make sure its really boiling) and enjoyed this meal. “Best Beef Stroganoff by far” Made to the package directions, the noodles and beef are very tender and the sauce has the best consistancy and flavor of any of the Beef Stroganoff entrees that I have tried. Mountain House (Oregon Freeze Dry) manufactures long range and winter rations for the US Military and this is always the first entree to be dug out of the box. -Bill, Kabul, Afghanistan “The All-time Best” I have been eating lyophilized food since I was a young scout back in the eighties. This is the best freeze-dried entree I've eaten, all producers included. I first read about it in a book by Jerry Ahern when I was in high school. This was the protagonist's favorite, so I imagine it was the author's as well. “Plenty of pineapple” Prepared to the directions on the package, the texture of the pork remains slightly chewy. The only problem with letting it rest longer, is that the rice gets a bit mushy. The sauce has a nice twang to it to offset the sweetness of all of the pineapple (and there is plenty of it). All in all, it remains one of my favorites.

“Excellent!” Cold, wet Boundary Waters trip--threw some left over fried fish into the pot--outstanding! -Iowa “Another winner from Mountain House” I must admit that I was a bit hesitant to try another freeze dried seafood entree after my first experience (not a MH product), but this one turned out to be a nice surprise. The consistency and taste were better than anything that I have ever tasted from a can, with much larger pieces of clam, and the smell was pure heaven. The only giveaway that this wasn't a fresh seafood chowder was the texture of the potatoes (all freeze dried potatoes have a diced french fry texture to me).
