“great design and tough” I have had the 2 person for a few years and love it. It is well designed and is also quality made. The insulating sleeve works very well without adding much weight. If I had one suggestion it would be to insulate the bowl as well. One thing that isn't mention in the add is the pot is designed to heat evenly and transfer the heat well so boil times are fast and food cooks evenly. “8 inch - No Problem” I have had the 8 inch Outback Oven Ultralight forever. I discovered foccacia bread, using their packaged foccacia. Thank you, Outback Oven!Hot fudge brownies or pizza are delightful.I have unfailing success with the new SOTO OD-1R Regulator Stove w/optional windscreen. The flame is controlled. It has a steady flame, until the canister is entirely empty. Their optional windscreen is an added safety factor. (The canister needs to be cool to the touch.) -ConnieD, Montana “Our Favorite piece of camping gear!” We've had one for about 8-10 years. It's been all over the country on backpack, canoe, and kayak trips. We LOVE it! Make everything from pizza to home-made apple pie! We even bought a second one we are keeping to replace ours when it wears out! Not very ultralight) and the Outback Oven works like a charm. My stove is one of those old (20 years old) MSR canister stoves (they look like the Whisperlite) and we've never had a problem. What a treat to have hot brownies or fresh pizza twenty miles from the trailhead! -Wilderness Dining “Consider the 10 inch!” The smaller diamater of the pot parka, combined with a hard-to-adjust stove, can make if difficult to prevent scorching the pot parka and creating a plume of smoke as one bakes. Works great- especially like to see-thru sides and large opening my old Garcia didn't have. -R. Thompson, Ojai, CA “My Favorite Bear Can so Far...” I've tried numerous bear cans over the years and this is the best I've used so far. I like the overall interior size and the weight is decent for a bear can. The lid is a little hard to open but a stick usually seems to do the trick. I like the clear plastic and the interior space is smooth and more efficient than other cans I've used. It has little dots on it that are supposedly for strapping it on a pack but they are so tiny they don't do much. Like all bear cans this size, they are supposed to hold 7 days of food but I must be a pig because I'm lucky to get in a weekend's worth of food. One word of warning, I've read that some parks like in NY do not allow these as the bears have learned to bounce on them and the pop open. -Deanna, Crested Butte, CO

“Great item for backpacking” This cozy was the hit of our weeklong backpacking trip into the Sierras. I bought it with the thought my homemade vacuum packed meals would re-hydrate more efficiently than when wrapped in my jacket (that I often wished I was wearing). I ended up being able to cram 2 full meals into the cozy which virtually eliminated the usual simmering over the stove. What a fuel saver. I'm getting another cozy because the zipper on my backpack tore my first one up a bit.
