A beautiful ultra-classic light-weight white gasoline stove made of solid brass. The SVEA has been manufactured since the late 1800's and still sets a standard for compact outdoor cooking equipment! Widely used by climbers all over the world, the Svea is recognized for it's performance at high altitudes.
The Svea is ideal for single ventures, high altitude cooking or whenever stuff volume and weight must be kept low. The lid of the stove also serves as a small cooking pot. The Svea is self-pressurized. Operating without a pump, the Svea is perfect for one person outdoor cooking.

I have used this stove for 38 years and it's still going strong, however I now have a Jetboil and they each have there use, love them both.

“Long lasting”
I have used mine off and on for the last 32 years and have never had a problem. You have great flame control from simmer to wide open. The only issue that I have is that it is loud.

This is the stove used in Antarctica, and has been copied by most countries with any manufacturing capability. You can reasonably expect 20 years of use before any maintenance is needed and then only o rings will need replacing. 100 y/o stoves are common.
