“Bear vault approval”
It's certainly great to have a manufacturer keep working on a design to make it better, striving for excellence without financially ripping off the needy user. Works great- especially like to see-thru sides and large opening my old Garcia didn't have.

“My Favorite Bear Can so Far...”
I've tried numerous bear cans over the years and this is the best I've used so far. I like the overall interior size and the weight is decent for a bear can. The lid is a little hard to open but a stick usually seems to do the trick. I like the clear plastic and the interior space is smooth and more efficient than other cans I've used. It has little dots on it that are supposedly for strapping it on a pack but they are so tiny they don't do much. Like all bear cans this size, they are supposed to hold 7 days of food but I must be a pig because I'm lucky to get in a weekend's worth of food. One word of warning, I've read that some parks like in NY do not allow these as the bears have learned to bounce on them and the pop open.
