Have had this for over 6 years and it is perfect. If you backpack or are just an avid outdoorsperson, this is a key companion. 1 gallon of water weighs over 8 pounds! This weighs 11oz... The filters last a really long time and the pictured adapter connects the outlet to a nalgene bottle (wide and narrow mouth) so you just sit by the creek or pond and pump for a minute with no need to hold the bottle.

“Great Filter”
Used this filter on many hikes now, never had a problem with it so far. Some claim in clogs up on them, but with simple maintinance and cleaning between trips, I have been VERY satisfied with it. Add a coffee filter over the input hose for longer life.

“Good but some problems”
this is a good water filter with lots of attachments to connect it to a hydra pack or a nalagene. But it sometimes adds visible active carbon (charcoal) into the water and also may not taste good. It is good if u use like kool-aid singles w/ it.
